CERVAPLEXX-I3C® contains indole-3-carbinol and recent studies done between the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology at both the LSU Medical Center-Shreveport and Harvard Medical School and the Strang Cancer Research Laboratory provided convincing evidence that indole-3-carbinol can reverse HPV induced CIN.
The basis for this study was indole-3-carbinol’s efficacy against laryngeal papillomas that are typically caused by HPV strains 6 and 11. These are the same strains that cause genital warts; therefore, it may be hypothesized that the indole-3-carbinol would also be effective against genital warts.
